Diamond-Back
- Time Period : 8000-2300 B.P.
- Location : Columbia River basin
- Shape : Lanceolate
Description:
A median size, dart/knife point with a diamond shaped stem. Shoulders are horizontal to tapered. Bases are pointed to rounded. The knife form of Klickitat Daggers. More utilitarian, lacking the refinements of true daggers. This point, in dart form, appears in the early to middle levels at Sauvie's Island. The type fades away and appears to come back as Klickitat. See site reports of Ron Butler at Cash Dollar Site, an OAS sanctioned dig.
