Cordilleran

Cordilleran

Description:
A usually large, mostly bi-pointed lanceolate spear or dart/knife with parallel and occasionally oblique flaking. Basal configuration is always contracting and can be dully pointed, rounded or straight with rounded corners. Stem sides are usually ground and blade cross-sections are lenticular and are not as thin as Kennewick. Possible descendant of Haskett points and later evolving into Cascade points. This point is transitional overlaping the late Hasketts with the early Cascades.
