Folsom

Folsom

Description:
A very thin, small to medium sized lanceolate point with convex edges and a concave basal edge creating sharp ears or basal corners. Most examples are fluted from the basal edge to nearly the tip of the point. Blade flaking is extremely fine. The hafting area is ground. A very rare type. Modern reproductions have been made and extreme caution should be exercised in acquiring an original specimen. Usually found in association with extinct bison fossil remains.
