Rowan

Description:
A medium to large size, side-notched point that can be easily confused with the Big Sandy type. The basal area is usually wider than the blade. Some examples have expanded ears, and grinding commonly occurs around the basal area. Believed to be an intermediate form developing from Dalton, Quad, Greenbrier or Hardaway and changing into Big Sandy and other later side notched forms.
