Description:
A very large, thick, hand-held barbed dagger used in the Sun dance ceremony along with the Duck River Swords, Sun Discs and shell gorgets by the Mississippian culture. Such dances are depicted on the shell gorgets themselves. These objects are made from high grade flint and are flaked to perfection. Warning: Absolute provinence is needed to prove authenticity. Very rare, existing mostly in museum collections.
