Description:
A small to medium size triangular point with straight to convex sides and a concave base. Believed to have evolved into Hamilton points; related to Greeneville and Nolichucky points. Has been found with Adena stemmed in caches (Rankin site, Cocke Co.,TN). Many are made from silicified sandstone, quartzite & milky quartz, although cherts and flints were also utilized.
