Description:
Thumb, duckbill and turtleback forms are small to medium size, thick, ovoid shaped, uniface, scraping tools that are steeply beveled, especially at the broadest end. Side scrapers are long hand-held uniface flakes with beveling on all blade edges of one face. Scraping was done primarily from the sides of these blades. Many of these tools were hafted. Found hafted to wooden handles with pitch in caves.
