Combat Wand Blade
- Time Period : 8000-2300 B.P.
- Location : CA into W. NV & North to Ochoco Mtns. in OR.
- Shape : Side Notched
Description:
A double notched point similar to Contra Costa. The hafting area is designed to hold the blade very securely in a 12"-15" long handle. Usually made of obsidian with an ultra sharp cutting edge, but little lateral strength. The long handle and short, well secured blade make an ideal thrusting, jabbing weapon in close combat. The similar Vendetta point's 2nd set of notches are about halfway up on the blade, and the Combat Wand Blade notches are placed just above the first set. Vendettas are also thinner.
