Coryell

Coryell

Description:
A medium to large size, serrated stemmed point with a large stem that usually tapers towards the base. Stems are usually ground. Serrations are not a product of resharpening. Shoulders are tapered to horizontal. Formerly known as "large stem Wells". This type has been found (in some camps) with Early Triangles in Coryell & Bell Co. with both types made from heat treated "Heiner Lake" tan chert. Similar to the Searcy point from Arkansas.
