Description:
A small to medium size, fairly thick, shallowly bifurcated stemmed point. The basal lobes are usually rounded and the shoulders tapered or clipped wing turning towards the tip. Believed to be the ancestor to the Stanly type. The St. Albans site dated Kanawha to 8,200 B.P. Similar to Fox Valley found in Illinois.
