Description:
Crescent moon to butterfly shaped, Crescents are controversial with different theories as to their use. The earlier forms show grinding on the edge only at the center of both sides as well as one or more burinated tips. Possible use could be as knives (thatch (tule) cutters), scrapers, transverse points or gravers. Crescent forms were found at the Paleo Lind Coulee site in Washington state. and with Clovis points in the Fenn cache of N.E. Utah.
