Description:
A medium to large size, wide, thin, elliptical blade with shallow notches very close to the base. This type is usually found in caches and has been reproduced in recent years. Made by the Adena culture. An earlier form was found in Benton caches in Mississippi carbon dated to about 4700 B.P.
