Description:
Blunts are usually made from broken points that are rechipped into this form, but can be made from scratch. All point types can occur as blunts. Some collectors call this form Stunners believing they were made to stun animals, not to kill. However, most archaeologists think they were used as knives and for scraping hides. Many blunts show excessive wear on the blunt edge proving their use as scrapers.
